The first batch of eco blocks has been installed!

The first batch of eco blocks has now been installed and is clearly visible at low tide. These innovative blocks have been placed in the intertidal zone on one side of the harbor dam, where they will enhance marine biodiversity and coastal resilience.

Why the Intertidal Zone? The intertidal zone, where the ocean meets the land between high and low tide, is a hotspot for marine life. It offers a unique combination of conditions that support a thriving ecosystem: ✅ High nutrient availability from constant tidal movement. ✅ Plenty of oxygen due to wave action and water circulation. ✅ Abundant sunlight for photosynthesis, supporting algae and other marine organisms.

A real-world A/B test! To measure the impact of this technology, we are using an A/B testing approach. One side of the harbor dam remains in its traditional state, while the other features the newly installed eco blocks. This will allow us to track and compare ecological changes over time, providing clear, data-driven insights into the effectiveness of the eco blocks in enhancing marine habitats.

As we monitor the site, we look forward to seeing how marine life responds to this new structure. Stay tuned for updates as we gather data on biodiversity growth and ecosystem development!
